Set in 1830s London, Marlott must operate outside the law as he comes up against dark forces in high society and in the dangerous slums of the over-crowded capital.
In his pursuit of Hervey, Marlott takes on the establishment in the form of Robert Peel's newly formed Police force and the Church. 对比于第一季严谨、扣人心弦的剧情，这季真是水到不行。看编剧和导演都换人了，就知道会有这样的结果，只是不甘心他们把这么好的题材和第一季完美的架构就白白糟蹋掉。
